Our services
The goal of CJP Nunavik is to give the Inuit a sufficient degree of autonomy in the settlement of estates, so that they have access to basic services in this area, to which all Quebec citizens are entitled. We achieve this goal through training, awareness-raising and community mobilization.
How we can support you
- CJP Nunavik offers support and guidance in the settlement of estates. Specifically, we assist community members with each step of the process, and refer them to local organizations that can help.
- We refer community members to organizations that will assist them without charging professional fees when they need legal advice or representation in court.
- Finally, in collaboration with our partners, we offer notarial clinics and provide information sessions on estate settlement to community members, as well as training for our close associates.
What we don't offer
- We don’t decide your fate in court.
- We cannot represent you in court.
- We do not provide legal advice.
- We won’t make decisions for you.
